Our story

From scratch-cards to Scratchie

A simple idea that worked on site, then waited ten years for the right tools.

2010
The pair worked with project teams to pilot Scratchie's predecessor: printed scratch-cards that rewarded safe behaviour on the fitout of Australia's first Apple Store.
The years between
Kell left the construction industry. Mansfield doubled down on safety, working as safety manager for one of Australia’s largest privately owned construction companies. The two stayed in touch.
Ten years later
Over a coffee, Kell asked Mansfield what had progressed since that successful pilot. When the answer was “nothing”, the idea for Scratchie was born.
